The Superfan models are manufactured and marketed by a company named M/s.Versa Drives Privated Limited, Coimbatore.
These fans use BLDC motors or Brush Less Direct Current motors instead of conventional fan motors. When used together with appropriate electronic circuit to be operated on domestic alternating current (AC) supplies these motors tend to become very efficient in their power consumption. For example a conventional 1200 mm sweep ac ceiling fan uses about 75 watts electric power per hour. On the other hand, these energy efficient fans of similar sweep use only about half of that.
Besides, they are available with superior remote control facility unlike conventional ceiling fans. That means these fans can be controlled using a remote control and there is no need to go to fetch the wall switch for ON-OFF or speed regulation.
